Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the applied science of equipment design in order to reduce operator fatigue and discomfort.

Basic workstation ergonomics are important for a comfortable and productive work environment.

Request an Ergonomics Review

Upon request, Operations will provide a basic ergonomic review of faculty and staff workstations to see if the chair you have is the right size and height and has features to provide back support and overall good posture and comfort. Additionally, we will review your keyboard setup and the height and distance of your computer monitor(s). In most cases, on-the-spot adjustments are made that will instantly make you feel more comfortable. If different items are needed, Operations will recommend and work with you to obtain them.

  • First-time ergonomic reviews typically take about 30 minutes.
  • Follow-up reviews take 15 minutes or less.

Please contact Jessica Angelova to schedule your complimentary workstation ergonomic review.
