Event Reservation System

What:

The Events Reservation System replaced the previous system, R25, in July of 2014.  The Events Reservation System is powered by a software package called EMS.  Benefits of this system include:

  • Increased system speed
  • Improved user experience
  • Ability to express schedule selected rooms
  • Request event space and media within one system
  • Improved space diagrams and room information

Why:

The volume of events on campus has increased significantly over the last five years.  The current event scheduling software is unable to keep up with the needs of the HSGE Community. Based on the work of the 2010 Process Improvement Initiative Committee on Calendaring and Scheduling, the decision was made to move away from R25 and adopt EMS to power our new Event Reservation System.

Who:

Accessibility to the system will not change.  The new Event Reservation System will be available to all HGSE students, faculty and staff with valid HGSE active directory accounts.

Where:

In addition to HGSE, the following schools are using EMS to power their Event Reservation Systems:

  • Harvard Business School
  • Harvard Law School
  • Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences
  • Harvard Kennedy School
  • Harvard School of Public Health
  • Harvard Graduate School of Design
