The Facilities Department is a maintenance and service organization that provides facility support services to the HGSE community. Our maintenance and preventative maintenance programs are designed to ensure the long-term protection and enhancement of the HGSE capital assets.

For urgent facilities matters, please contact GSE Operations at 617-495-3410 during normal operating hours.

Facility Areas

A Harvard Key is required to submit a request.

Custodial & Repairs

Special cleaning services include: 

– Bathroom

– Carpet

– Trash/recycling


If you notice issues with any of the following:

– Electrical 

– Locksmith

– Plumbing

Office Temperature

Summer (June-Sept.)

− In the office: 74-78 degrees

− Out for the day: 80 degrees

− Away for the weekend: 80 degrees
 

Winter (Nov.-Mar.)

− In the office: 68-72 degrees

− Out for the day: 60-65 degrees

− Away for the weekend: 60 degrees

Keys

Operations will provide faculty, staff, and students with keys to GSE buildings and offices (including off-campus properties). A valid HUID is needed to pick up keys; without it, a key cannot be issued.

Mail

Everyday the mailroom delivers the university mail, incoming mail from the Post Office, as well as incoming UPS, FedEx, & DHL shipments. We will also pickup outgoing university and outgoing U.S. mail to have postage added.
