Temperature Guidelines

First, check to see if your school/unit has its own policy or suggested guidelines for temperature regulation. If not, you can use the suggestions below for energy conservation and comfort.

Summer Months

June - September
  • When you are in the office: 74-78 degrees
  • When out for the day: 80 degrees
  • When away for the weekend: 80 degrees

Winter Months

November - March
  • When you are in the office: 68-72 degrees
  • When out for the day: 60-65 degrees
  • When away for the weekend: 60 degrees

Also: save electricity by running your fan on LOW (during both the summer and winter!)

*Remember: Even small adjustments of just 1 or 2 degrees in temp settings can result in large energy savings!*
