HGSE Sponsored Events

Sponsored Projects

If you wish to request space on behalf of an outside organization or individual (including alumni), you will be prompted to complete the Sponsoring Conference at HGSE Request Form and your assigned event coordinator will review it.

We will need to know:

  • You, as the sponsor, plan to have “substantial involvement” in the program. “Substantial involvement” is defined as service in the role of speaker or program developer.
  • How the program benefits the HGSE community.

Any events that remain in question will be elevated, as appropriate, and decided on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, event support fees remain applicable, including staffing, security, and event management fees.

HGSE Community Members

  • Due to space limitations, faculty and staff have priority on reservations. Depending on availability, space may be made available for events aligning with the mission of the Ed School for a room rental fee.
  • Because of this, event space (Askwith, Eliot Lyman & the GCC) is reserved for public-facing events on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Centers, Projects, and Initiatives

Because of their affiliation with HGSE, centers, projects, and initiatives can reserve event spaces at a 50% discount off published rental rates.

These fees help defray the costs associated with internally funded core HGSE events held on campus.

Student Events

All student events must be sponsored by an OSA-approved student organization.

Please view the OSA website for policies regarding student events.

OSA-sanctioned student groups have priority of the Read House conference room and may check availability and reserve this room via the Events Reservation System (EMS).

Faculty and Staff

Internal staff or faculty-led meetings will be assigned to non-event space (conference rooms or appropriate classroom space) around campus for their meetings.
