We have two Epilog Helix machines with 75 watts of power and a table size of 18 x 24 inches. They are capable of cutting and etching various materials including plywood, acrylic, and cardboard. Other materials may be permitted at the discretion of the studio manager.

The laser cutters are available for academic projects and small personal projects; manufacturing of large quantities is not allowed. To use the laser cutters, you must complete both the [ZONE A and ZONE B trainings](https://operations.gse.harvard.edu/eis/hours).

We have two 3D printers: a [Dremel 3D40](https://digilab.dremel.com/products/3d40) and a [Prusa i3 MK3S+](https://www.prusa3d.com/category/original-prusa-i3-mk3s/). There are free slicing applications available on each of the manufacturers’ websites; follow the links above to find them.

We supply PLA filament in various colors free of charge for most projects. At this time we are not supporting other materials.

The printers are available for academic and small personal projects; manufacturing of large quantities is not allowed. If you would like to use the 3D printers you must complete both the [basic orientation](https://operations.gse.harvard.edu/eis/hours) and training for the 3D printers.

We have two benches for working with electronics. Each station is equipped with a [Hakko FX-888D](https://www.hakko.com/english/products/hakko_fx888d.html) soldering iron. Additionally, one station has an easy-to-use [Tekpower TP3005T](http://tekpower.us/tp3005t.html) variable power supply. The other station is equipped with a [Siglent SPD3303X-E](https://www.siglentamerica.com/power-supplies/spd3303x-spd3303x-e-series-programmable-dc-power-supply/) programmable power supply and a [Rigol DS-1102E](https://www.rigolna.com/products/digital-oscilloscopes/1000/) digital oscilloscope.

We also have multimeters, an LCR meter, breadboards, helping hands, a variety of hand tools, and dedicated fume extraction. Numerous components and lead-free solder are available.

To use the electronics benches, you must schedule training after completion of the [ZONE A Orientation and Training](https://operations.gse.harvard.edu/eis/hours).

We have two [Janome HD-1000](https://www.janome.com/machines/sewing/hd1000/) sewing machines with features including a free arm and 14 stitch options. We also have a selection of tools for hand sewing. A variety of threads are available, as are a small assortment of fabric pieces. Users are advised to bring their own material.
